Basal leaves 3 or 4, not wilting at anthesis. Cauline leaves 3--5, lowermost separate, 6--20 cm, distal ones crowded below inflorescence, petioles of cauline ones sheathed. Sepals purple, rarely yellow. 2n = 16*.
