Plants annual, 30-60 cm tall, spreading yellow-brown tomentose. Stem erect, robust, branched. Leaves alternate; petiole 1-3 cm; leaf blade elliptic, ovate, or ovate-lanceolate, 3-8 × 1.5-4 cm, both surfaces hirsute, lateral veins 7 or 8 pairs, base acute, margin coarsely crenate or crenate-serrate, apex acute or acuminate. Inflorescences axillary, 2-flowered; peduncles 2-3 cm. Pedicels slender, bracteate below flower; bracts lanceolate. Flowers yellow or white. Lateral sepals 2(or 4), subovate, 5-8 mm, hirsute, apex cuspidate. Lower sepal broadly funnelform, gradually narrowed into an incurved spur. Upper petal orbicular, base cordate, apex obtuse, abaxial midvein thickened, cristate apically; lateral united petals not clawed, 2-lobed; basal lobes small or rudimentary; distal lobes broadly dolabriform or sublunar; auricle conspicuous. Anthers obtuse. Capsule linear-fusiform. Fl. Jun-Jul.

● Dense forests, along canals, shaded moist places; 1700-2700 m. Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan.
