Paraphlomis rugosa (Bentham) Prain var. angustifolia C. Y. Wu, Acta Phytotax. Sin. 8: 38. 1959, validating desc.
Leaf blade ovate-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, margin inconspicuously crenulate. Calyx acicular, hispi-dulous.
After publication of the family treatment for the Flora of China, a holotype (Z. W. Yao 4920, PE) was selected for this valid publication in 2010.
Evergreen and mixed forests; 500-1600 m. Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan [Vietnam].
