Stems and leaves glabrous. Leaf blade narrowly ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 6-15 X 2.5-6 cm, papery, adaxially lucid, base rounded, margin dentate with teeth oblique toward leaf apex, apex acuminate. Bracts and calyx lobes densely ciliate. Corolla purple, pale purple, or purple blue, 5-6 mm; lobes narrowly triangular, ca. 1.5 mm.
