Bulb subglobose, 1--2.5 cm in diam.; scales ovate, ca. 2.5 cm × 8 mm, not articulate. Stem 20--45 cm, papillose. Leaves whorled plus sometimes a few scattered, obovate-oblanceolate or elliptic, 4.5--5.5 × 1.8--2 cm, glabrous, 5--7-veined. Flower solitary, campanulate. Tepals spreading, purple, unspotted, narrowly elliptic or rarely narrowly ovate, 2.5--3.5 cm × 1--1.4 cm; nectaries not papillose. Stamens shorter than tepals; filaments ca. 1.6 cm, glabrous; anthers linear, 6--8 mm. Ovary purple, 6--8 mm. Style ca. 1.7 cm. Fl. Jul. 
* Among bushes, grassy slopes, rocky places; 3200--3900 m.
