Cupule bracts spinelike, more dense apically, 2-5(-7) mm, longer from middle to apex of cupule, basal bracts connate into bundles.
* Mixed mesophytic forests; 1000-1700 m. Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan
