Basal leaves 3-5, forming a rosette; petiole 0.5-2 cm; leaf blade abaxially greenish, glaucous, and densely purple-brown punctate, adaxially deep green, broadly ovate, 6-11 × 6-11 cm, base deeply cordate, apex obtuse. Cauline leaf sessile, semiamplexicaul, ovate or semiorbicular, 2-3 mm, base sometimes with a few rusty brown appendages. Flower 0.7-1.4 cm in diam.; hypanthium hemispheric. Sepals ovate-oblong or semiorbicular, ca. 4 × 2 mm, margin sometimes shallowly erose, apex rounded. Petals white or whitish green, densely purple-brown punctate or not, obovate-oblong, ca. 7 mm, margin densely erose or shortly fimbriate, apex emarginate. Anthers oblong, 0.5-1 mm; filaments 3-4 mm; staminodes terete, 1-1.5 mm, stalk 0.7-1 mm, lamina apically discoid, disc ca. 1.2 mm in diam., rim undulate. Ovary superior, globose; stigma 3-lobed.
