Crawfurdia sinkuensis (Marquand) H. Smith, Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh. 26: 244. 1965.

Name appeared after publication of the family treatment for the Flora of China.

Ho Ting-nong examined the specimens of this species (Feng Guo-mei 7891 at PE and Yu Te-Tsun 2022 at PE). The species is similar to Crawfurdia delavayi Franchet and C. gracilipes H. Smith by having small flowers 2--3.5 cm and short leaf petioles 3--5 mm, but differs as follows:
1a. Inflorescences cymes; calyx tube distinctly split on one side, spathelike, lobes much shorter than tube ... C. sinkuensis
1b. Inflorescences 1-, rarely 2-flowered; calyx tube tubular, not split on one side or occasionally split, lobes ca. as long as or shorter than tube.
2a. Calyx lobes ca. as long as tube; corolla 2--2.5 cm ... C. gracilipes
2b. Calyx lobes shorter than tube; corolla 3--3.5 cm ... C. delavayi
