Photinia daphniphylloides Hayata, Icon. Pl. Formosan. 7: 30. 1918; P. serrulata Lindley f. daphniphylloides (Hayata) H. L. Li; P. serrulata var. daphniphylloides (Hayata) K. C. Kuan.
Leaves elliptic or obovate-elliptic, 8–16 cm, margin entire or very inconspicuously minutely dentate. Rachis and pedicels tomentose; hypanthium abaxially and petals glabrous.
Sea shores; sea level. E Taiwan.
