Potentilla luteopilosa T. T. Yü & C. L. Li, Acta Phytotax. Sin. 18: 9. 1980. 
Leaves 1–6 cm, not crowded, with 7–9 pairs of leaflets; leaflets lobed ca. 1/2 way to midvein, apex obtuse. Fl. and fr. Jun–Aug. 
Alpine rocks; 3800--4200 m.
