3. Oreoweisia weisioides Broth., Symb. Sin. 4: 22. 1929.

Plants minute, soft, ca. 2 mm high, yellowish green, in loose tufts. Stems erect, simple, rarely branched, radiculose at base. Leaves crispate when dry, erect-spreading when moist, ca. 1.3 mm long, keeled, linear-lanceolate to lingulate, leaf base erect, acute to obtuse at the apex; margins plane, serrulate above the middle; costa thick, narrow, subpercurrent, marginal cells hyaline and smooth; upper cells nearly quadrate, obscure, distinctly mammillose on both surfaces; lower cells rectangular, hyaline, longitudinally thick-walled; alar cell not differentiated. Autoicous. Perichaetial leaves similar to the upper stem leaves. Setae straight, ca. 5 mm long, slender, yellowish; capsules erect, ovoid; peristome teeth typical of the genus. Spores not seen.

Type. China: Sichuan, Mu-li Co., Handel-Mazzetti 7414 (holotype H).
