细拟合睫藓

Trichostomum duriusculum (Mitt.) Broth., Nat. Pflanzenfam. I(3): 39. 1902. Didymodon duriusculus Wils., Hooker’s J. Bot. Kew Gard. Misc. 9: 299. 1857, nom. nud.

Plants medium-sized, to 1.2–3.0 cm high, yellowish green or dark brown, in loose tufts. Stems erect, rarely branched; central strand absent. Leaves contorted-curved to moderately crisped when dry, curved-spreading when moist, narrowly lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 1.5–3.5 mm x 0.3–0.6 mm, sheathing at the base, gradually acuminate; margins plane, entire; costa slender, excurrent in a short awn, 60–70 µm long, smooth; upper leaf cells irregularly to rounded hexagonal, ca. 6–10 µm wide, moderately thick-walled, with several simple to branched papillae in each cell; basal cells weakly differentiated, rectangular, 30–60 µm x 7–16 µm, thick-walled, usually smooth, hyaline, differentiated basal cells extending up both sides at margins forming a V-shaped region. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves not differentiated. Setae reddish yellow, straight, ca. 1.3 cm long; capsules erect, short-cylindrical; peristome teeth short, weakly or not twisted, lanceolate, papillose above, transversely striate at the base. Spores 6–10 µm in diameter, nearly smooth.

Type. Sri Lanka (Ceylon): reg. mont. super., 4000–8000 ft., Gardner s.n. (holotype NY).

Chinese specimens examined: SHAANXI: Western Tai-bai Shan (Mt.), Z.-P. Wei 6598 (HKAS, WUG). SICHUAN: Da-jin Co., X.-J. Li 4170 (HKAS). ZHEJIANG: Eastern Tian-mu Shan (Mt.), M. Zang 841 (HKAS).

Habitat: on rocks in shade or forest ground; Distribution: China and Sri Lanka.
