Shrubs or undershrubs, glandular punctate. Leaf imparipinnate, leaflets many, entire. Inflorescence a terminal spicate raceme or panicle. Bracts and bracteoles caducous. Calyx teeth subequal or the lower one longer. Vexillum obovate, embracing the stamens and pistil. Wing and keel absent. Stamens monadelphous, anthers uniform. Ovary sessile, 2-ovuled, style curved, glabrous or vinous, stigma terminal. Fruit short, indehiscent, seeds 1-2.
A genus with about 25 species, distributed in N.America and Mexico, represented by 1 cultivated species in Pakistan.
