Trees. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets usually alternate. Flowers bisexual, in terminal panicles. Calyx 5-lobed. Petals 5, free, contorted. Staminal tube cylindrical; anthers exserted. Disc absent. Ovary 3-5-locular; ovules numerous, biseriate in each locule; stigma capitate. Fruit a septicidal capsule. Seeds many, winged below.
A genus of 1 or 2 species, distributed from S. China to Indo-Malaya.
