Herbs tuberous or with a corm. Leaves linear to lanceolate, plicate. Flowers on a scape; in clusters or racemes, staminate or hermaphrodite. Ovary separated from the perianth by a stipe. Locules imperfect. Fruit indehiscent, beaked.
A genus of c. 10 tropical species. Represented in Pakistan by 1 species.
