Armed shrublets (unarmed herbs, outside the Flora area), pubescent or villous perennials. Leaf imparipinnate with 3-15 entire leaflets. Inflorescence an axillary pedunculate head or spike. Bracts small, bracteoles absent. Calyx gamosepalous, teeth subequal. Corolla purple or yellow. Keel incurved, obtuse, subequal to vexillum. Stamens 10, monadelphous. Fruit enclosed in the calyx, 1-seeded, indehiscent.
A genus with about 20 species, with the centre of distribution in Turkey, represented locally by only 1 species.
