Small annual herbs, exactly like the previous genus, Draba Linn., but petals deeply bifid, white, sometimes absent or suppressed; stamens 6 or 4 (the 2 outer sometimes suppressed). The following amendment in the generic description, hitherto published, should be made: Petala 4 vel nulls; stamina 6 vel 4. 
Nearly 10 species in Europe, Asia and N. Africa; only 2 recorded from our area.
