Unarmed tree. Leaves alternate, bipinnately compound, pinnae bifolio¬late; leaflets opposite, sessile, ovate. Inflorescence pedunculate axillary, branched spike. Calyx glabrous. Petals free. Stamens 10, free, anthers tipped with decidu¬ous glands. Ovary stipitate. Fruit dehiscing by both margins, continuous within. Seeds many, reniform, winged at each end.
A monotypic genus, endemic to North India.
