Tree; leaf imparipinnate; leaflets exstipellate. Inflorescence an axillary raceme. Bract caducous, bracteoles minute or absent. Calyx teeth obsolete. Vexillum pubescent outside, with auricles at the base. Wings slightly adherent to the keel. Stamens monadelphous, vexillary stamen free at the base but connate from the middle into a closed tube, anthers uniform. Ovary subsessile, 2-ovuled, stigma terminal. Fruit flat, coriaceous, fleshy or woody, indehiscent, 1-seeded. Seed reniform.
A monotypic genus distributed in Tropical Asia, Australia and Mascarenes.
