Perennial unarmed shrubs. Leaves alternate, entire. Flowers subsessile, in axillary clusters. Calyx and corolla campanulate, 5-toothed, rarely more or less. Corolla slightly larger than the calyx. Stamens 5. Ovary bilocular. Berry globose. Seess many, small, compressed.
An old world genus with 10 species. Represented in Pakistan by 2 species.
