Mimosa decurrens Wendl.
Evergreen unarmed tree, 6-12 m tall. Leaf with decurrent leaf stalk, decomĀ¬pound, 7-15 cm, with 8-15 feathery forks, each with 30-80 pairs of narrow leaflets 1.5-5 mm long, yellowish green, narrow and widely spaced. Flowers in heads, fragrant. Pod 5-10 cm long, c. 6-7 mm broad, reddish, more or less constricted between seeds (Khan, l.c. 1958).
Distribution: Native of Australia, introduced in Abbottabad etc.
The bark is rich in tannin.
