It is similar to the previous species but the leaves rounded or retuse at both ends, flowers larger, c. 8 cm across, white tinged yellowish but not tinged externally with pink.

Type: Described from America, Colidiore.
Distribution: A native of Southern Mexico and W. Indies, commonly cultivated in gardens.
