Trees. Leaves oblong-obovate, 7.5-9 x 2.5-3 cm, glabrous, margin recurved, midrib prominent below, petiole c. 1 cm long. Flowers pedicelled, axillary, small. Calyx lobes imbricate, subequal. Corolla lobes imbricate. Stamens longer than corolla. Fruit a berry. 
 
 
Type: Described from Elhiopia, Herb. Linn. 261.1 (LINN).
