Stracheya tibetica Benth. in Hook.Kew J. 5:307. 1853. Baker l.c.

Perennial herb, stem reduced, stipules c. 4 mm long, pubescent. Leaf imparipinnately compound, petiole 4-35 mm long, rachis (excluding petiole) 1.2-9.0 cm long; minutely pubescent; leaflets c. 9-21, petiolule less than 1 mm, lamina 5-15 cm long, 2-5 mm broad, elliptic, obtuse-acute, glabrous above, densely pubescent below. Inflorescence a peduncled axillary raceme, peduncle c. 8 mm or less, pubescent. Bracts 4-5 mm long, pu bescent, pedicel 3-4 mm long, pubescent. Calyx c. 8 mm long, pubescent, teeth c. 4 mm long. Corolla deep rose, sometimes purplish, with small yellowish spot at base of vexillum. Vexillum 15-20 mm long. Wing smaller than keel. Keel subequal to vexillum. Fruit 2.2-2.8 cm long, minutely pilose, 4 ridged, ridges tooth-like.
