Type: Pamir, Paulsen 1523 (C !).
Few specimens from Ladakh such as, Zanskar 3300-4500 m, Munshi (W), Dras, 2700-4200 m, Munshi 1989 (W) and Lilian Rechinger in Rech.f., 62265 (W) seem to be intermediate between the two subspecies; Distribution: C. Asia, Pakistan and Kashmir.
In both subspecies the valves are smaller than in the more western subsp. patientia and subsp. orientalis.
