Protium serratum (Wall. ex Colebr.) Engl.
Trees large. Leaves alternate, imparipinnate; leaflets small, petiolulate, 7 or more, opposite, lanceolate-ovate, serrulate-entire, hairy or glabrous. Inflorescence an axillary panicle. Flowers small, hairy outside. Sepals 5. Petals 5, reflexed, inserted below the disc. Stamens 10, included. Disc annular-crenate. Stigma sessile.
Distribution: Native of E. Pakistan and Assam; cultivated in Lahore.
It is valued for its timber which is used in furniture making.
