Annual, up to 60-70 cm tall, branches brown-hairy. Leaf 5-7-foliolate, leaflet 2.5-3.8 cm long, oblanceolate to oblong-obovate, pubescent on both sides; stipules very narrow. Inflorescence a terminal raceme, flowers alternate or the upper ones more or less whorled. Pedicel short. Calyx silky-pubescent, teeth short. Corolla blue, usually with white-tipped keel. Vexillum c. 1.2-2.0 cm long. Fruit 3.7-7.5 cm long, c. 1.8-2.0 cm broad, densely pubescent.

Distribution: Cultivated as an ornamental plant.
