Oxalis grandiflora Jacq.
Prostrate herbs. Bulbil solitary, sheathed in dark brown scales. Leaves in rosettes; lower surface punctate, often purple; margin ciliate; petiole 5 7 cm long, sparsely pubescent, fleshy, reddish green. Flowers solitary, pink with yellow throat.
Fl. Pet. December April.
Distribution: Native to the Cape region of South Africa. Cultivated.
Cultivated in Gardens for its pretty flowers. Propagates by bulbils. It has a variety with lighter foliage and white flowers.
