Shrub up to 12.0 m tall, glabrous. Leaves evergreen, 7-15 x 15-32 cm. elliptic-lanceolate to lanceolate, subsessile. Flowers greenish-yellow, in cymes or panicles. Corolla infundibuliform, lobes ovate-acute, ciliate. Stamens attached near the throat of the corolla. Anthers oblong.
Fl. Per.: Mostly throughout the year.
Type: Chile. conception Dombey s.n. (probably BM or P).
Parker (l.c. 372) records its cultivation in Abbottabad. Occasionally found as an escape. The sweet scented flowers bloom at night.
