Wendlandia appendiculata Wall. ex Hook. f.Wendlandia scabra Kurz
A small evergreen tree, young shoots and inflorescence hairy. Leaves 10-20 x 6-10 cm, elliptic, ovate-oblong, acute, entire, glabrous or minutely hairy on nerves beneath; subcoriaceous; petiole 8-15 mm long; stipules persistent, tips caudate, acuminate. Panicles terminal, 7-15 cm long. Flowers c. 5 mm in diameter, bluish white, sessile. Calyx c. 2 mm long hairy, lobes triangular or subulate, persistent. Corolla glabrous, funnel-shaped, lobes shorter than the tube. Style 2-fid; stigma clavate. Capsule almost glabrous, c. 2.5 mm long.
Fl. Per.: May-June.
Type: Nepal, Wallich.
Distribution: Pakistan (Hazara), Kashmir, India (Chamba, Kangra, Garhwal).
This species is not as common as the preceding one.
