Very similar to preceding species in general habit but differs by having lanceolate to oblanceolate, obtuse to acuminate leaves; citron to golden yellow, 3-4-seriate phyllaries; pappus as long as the corolla, setae slightly coherent at the base.
Type: Hab. in Nepalia, Wallich (K-W!).
Grows from plains to 2000 m; Distribution: Central Asia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal to Indonesia, Australia, Africa and Europe.
