    Root slender. Rosulate leaves, oblong, oblanceolate, round at the apex, entire, hairy, 4-20 x 2-5.5 mm. Flowering stems 5-10 cm high, glandular hairy, deciduous. Cauline leaves obovate, oblanceolate, apex round, densely glandular hairy, 3-12 x 2-3 mm. Inflorescence terminal, 2-4-flowered cyme. Flowers 6-8 merous, small, glandular hairy, pedicel 4-11 mm long. Calyx 6-8 lobed, lobes oblong to oblong-obovate, green, fleshy, densely glandular hairy, 4-6 x 1-2 mm. Corolla 6-8 lobed, lobes broadly elliptic, obtuse, connate, white or reddish white, membranaceous, 4.5-10 x 2-4 mm. Stamens 12-16, in two whorls, shorter than and adnate to the petals, 3-7 mm long. Nectar scales obovate, round at the apex, 0.9-1.5 x 0.3-0.8 mm. Carpels free, 3-8 x 1-3 mm, style slender, 1-2.2 mm, stigma capitate. Follicles 6-8, erect, free, 5-10 x 2-3 mm. Seed ellipsoid, small, 0.8-1 x 0.2-0.3 mm.

    Grows between 2000-3500 m on rocks and crevices; Distribution: N. India, Kashmir, Pakistan, 2000-3000 m.
