Perennials, suffrutescent, branched at the base, up to 40 cm tall, glabrous or sparsely pubescent. Leaves alternate, linear oblong, remotely denticulate, 1.5-5 (-6) x 0.3-0.6 (-0.8) cm, glabrous or sparsely pubescent on both surfaces, sessile, erect to spreading, capitula 5-10 in lax corymbs, 6-8 mm in diameter, peduncle 2-4 cm long, thin; phyllaries multiseriate, linear-subulate, acute, outer 4-6 mm long, pubescent. Corolla yellow. Female florets c. 3 mm long, 2-3 toothed, glabrous. Bisexual florets 3-4 mm long, tubulose, 5-lobed, lobes papillose and pubescent.Anthers caudate. Cypselas 0.5-0.7 mm long, pubescent, pappus setae white, 3-4 mm long.

Distribution: N E and Western Africa, Southern Iran, Pakistan and India (Gujrat).
