Cleome burmanni W. & A., Prods. 22. 1834. Hook. f., Fl. Brit. Ind. 1: 170. 1872.
Excluded species A South Indian and Ceylonese annual species with trifoliolate leaves, prickly branches, purple flowers and about 5 cm. long capsules, was reported from Sind: `Hyderabad' by Woodrow (in J. Bomb. Nat. Hist. Soc., 5: 123. 1897) based on W. Strachan's collection. I have not seen any specimen of this species, living or herbarium, from Sind or any part of West Pakistan. I agree with the remarks of Blatter (ibid. 21 899. 1927) that the occurrence of Cleome burmanni in Sind is doubtful.
