  • Raphanus caudatus L.

    Plants comparatively more robust and taller than the type race. Pods 30-60 cm long, including whip-like, long beak.

    Type: Probably from seeds obtained from Java and cultivated at Upsala.

    Distribution: Perhaps introduced from Java (Hook.f. l.c. 166), but only from cultivated seeds. Cultivated in India and Pakistan and other parts of Asia also.

    Taxonomic status of Raphanus caudatus L. is not definitely known. It is distinguish¬ed by its long whip-like pod, about as long as the entire plant.
