Outer petal rhomboid, 8-10 mm long, c. 7 mm broad; inner petal lobed almost up to the middle or more, c.6.5 mm long, middle lobe more fimbriate than in the following variety. Filaments of the stamens are provided with a small brownish gland at the base of either side. Fruit indehiscent.
