A small, sparsely glandular to glabrous herb, up to 10 cm tall. Branches prostrate, internodes c. 9-12 mm long. Leaves only unifoliolate, minutely petioled, leaflets linear-lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, mucronate, acute; stipular spines as long as or longer than leaves. Flowers and fruits as in type variety.

Distribution: Western Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan (Baluchistan).
