    Trailing annual, branches canescent white. Leaf imparipinnately compound, petiole c. 4.5-10 mm long, leaflets 5-7, alternate, c. 4-10 mm long, c. 3.5-4.5 mm broad, oblanceolate or elliptic, obtuse, pubescent on both sides; stipules linear, acute, hairy. Inflorescence a sessile head. Bract minute acute, pubescent. Flower sessile. Calyx 3.5-4.5 mm long, teeth long, linear, hairy. Corolla red, c. 3-5 mm long. Fruit c. 6-12 mm long, linear, pubescent, torulose, 3-6-seeded.

    Holotype: Senegal, 1825, Perottet (G).

    Distribution: Pakistan, (Sind, Punjab); Arabia; Eritrea; Sudan; Nigeria, Senegal.
