Indigofera arabica Jaub. & Spach, Ill.Pl.Or. 5:t 479. 1856. Gillett in Kew Bull. Add.Ser.1:13.1958.
Stem woody, variously branched, prostrate, white canescent when young. Leaf imparipinnately compound, leaflets (3)-5-7, c. 3-8 mm long, c. 2-3 mm broad, oblong-obovate, pubescent on both sides, mucronulate. Inflorescence a raceme, short peduncled, shorter than the leaf. Pedicel less than 1 mm long. Calyx c. 1.5-2.0 mm long, pubescent, teeth c. 1 mm long. Corolla scarlet. Vexillum c. 3 mm long. Fruit c. 5-10 mm long, c. 4-6 mm broad, straight, flat, pubescent, 2-5-seeded.
