Indigofera caerulea var. caerulea

Herb, up to 1 m tall, branches whitish, hoary. Leaf imparipinnately compound, petiole up to 2 cm long, rachis up to 8 cm long; leaflets 5-9 rarely 11, up to 32 mm long and 23 mm broad, oblong-obovate, densely pubescent below, glabrous above; stipels absent, petiolule c. 2 mm long; stipules c. 1-3 mm long. Inflorescence a raceme, sessile, up to 4 cm long. Bract c. 1 mm long; pedicel c. 1 mm long. Calyx c. 1.5-2 mm long, densely pubescent, teeth equal to the cup. Corolla golden brown. Vexillum c. 4.5 mm long. Fruit curved, torulose, indehiscent, with 3-4 segments, each c. 3-4 mm long, c. 2-3 mm wide, upper suture c. 1.5 mm wide, pubescent.
