Shrub, c. 30-60 cm tall, young branches white canescent. Leaf imparipinnately compound, leaflets 13-31, c. 5-8 mm long, elliptic, obovate or oblanceolate, obtuse, mucronate, pubescent on both sides, hais white, petiolule c. 1 mm long; stipel small; stipules setaceous. Inflorescence a raceme, nearly sessile. Pedicel short. Bract minute. Calyx campanulate, pubescent, teeth as long as the tube. Corolla purple or pale red. Fruit c. 1.2-1.5 cm long, straight, cylindric glabrous, 10-12-seeded.
