    Perennial, woody at the base, branches many, silky-pubescent. Leaf 3 or 5-foliolate, leaflets 5-9 mm long, 4-5 mm broad, obovate-cuneate, obtuse or retuse, grey-pubescent on both sides or glabrous above, pilose below. Flowers solitary axillary, sessile. Calyx 5-8 mm long, pubescent, teeth twice as long as the tube. Corolla red, slightly exserted. Fruit 9-12 mm long, glabrous or pubescent, linear, straight, c. 6-seeded.

    Type: Described from Persia.

    Distribution: Pakistan; Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Aden, Somaliland, Egypt, islands of Socotra and Abd el Kuri.
