Perennial herb. Root stock becoming thick and woody; acaulescent Leaf pinnately compound, 3-12 cm long, petiole 1.7-8.5 cm long, canescent; leaflets 3-9, c. 5-22 mm long, 3-15 mm broad, broadly elliptic to obovate, acute, glandular punctate and sparsely pubescent above, canescent below, stipules 7-12 mm long, canescent, adnate. Inflorescence a pedunculate raceme, 10-35 cm; peduncle 10-25 cm long. Bracts c. 8-10 mm long, Pedicel c. 2 mm long, densely villous. Calyx 7-12 mm long, villous, teeth 4-9 mm long. Corolla yellow, vexillum with purple veins, 12-15 mm long. Fruit c. 9 mm long, reniform, marginal teeth less than 1 mm long, covered with brown cottony outgrowth.
