Calamagrostis pseudophragmites subsp. pseudophragmites
Culms 40-150 cm high with (2-)3-5(-6) nodes; panicle lax, 10-40 cm long, usually tinged with purple.
Fl. & Fr. Per.: June-August.
Type locality: Europe.
Distribution: Pakistan (Baluchistan, N.W.F.P., Gilgit & Kashmir); Europe and the Mediterranean region eastwards through temperate Asia to Siberia, Mongolia and the Himalayas.
