An erect shrub, with glabrous stem and inconspicuous ridges and furrows. Leaves sessile, alternate, exstipulate, elliptic, entire, 3-7 mm long, 1-2 mm broad. Racemes lateral and terminal, lax, 1040 cm long, 10-15 mm broad, naked for a considerable length. Lower bract lanceolate, acutish, entire, upper one triangulate, long acuminate, dentate, 7-11 mm long, 3-4 mm broad. Pedicel 2-5 mm long. Sepals 5, connate at base, c. 6 mm long, c. 1 mm broad, lanceolate, persistent. Petals 5, free, obovate, 5 mm long, 2 mm broad, persistent. Stamens 10, filaments united-half of their length, anthers dorsifixed, obtuse, bigger stamens 3 mm long, smaller 2 mm long. Carpel 3 mm long. Ovary globose, slightly stipitate. Stigma trilobed, sessile. Capsule c. 1 cm long (excluding style).
