Erodium bryoniaefolium Boiss.
Differs from subsp. oxyrrhynchum as follows: stems shorter; leaves greyish white, appressed villous: basal leaves less divided, cordate-ovate, crenate-subentire; filaments ciliate.
Fl. Per.: April-May.
Type: Sinai, Aucher-Eloy 2087 (Lecto. G, K).
Distribution: As subsp. oxyrrhynchum, but with the addition of N. Africa, Arabia and the Punjab in Pakistan.
A plant of dry gravelly or stony areas from 600-2700 m. Allied to the C. Asian Erodium litvinovii which differs in the spreading hairs and larger fruits (mericarps 8.5 mm long, beak 12-14 cm long).
