    Glabrous herb. Stem absent; leaves 2.5-4.5 x 1.5-2.5 cm, ovate, cordate, crenate, 5-nerved, with reddish brown to black punctate glands on both surfaces; petiole 1-3 cm long. Stipules foliaceous, free, 1-2.0 x 1.5-2 cm, ovate-lanceolate, dentate-fimbriate, acute-acuminate, covered with blackish brown glandular spots. Peduncle 1-2 cm long; bracteoles 2, opposite, 1.0-1.5 x 0.25-0.5 mm, lanceolate, acute, dentate. Flowers large, 2 cm in diameter. Sepals 3-5 x 1-2 mm; lanceolate, acute, entire, cuneate, glabrous, spur saccate, 5 mm or more long. Capsule elliptic to ovoid, glabrous, 0.8-1.0 cm long, with acuminate apex. Seeds 0.2-0.3 x 0.1-0.15 cm, obovoid, shiny, creamish brown.
