Type: Shendtoi ravine, Aitch. 462 (K!).

Distribution: N.E. Afghanistan, Kurram (Pakistan), Turkestan.

Differs from the type subspecies in the narrower elliptic leaves which are inegularly dentate. The annulus of the corolla, according to Wendelbo (op. cit., 14) is said to be prominent.
