Plants variable in size, up to 40 cm tall. Pseudobulb small, conical. Leaf elliptic, subacute or obtuse, up to 12 x 6 cm, with tubular, long sheathing petiole. Inflorescence 7-18 cm long, 7-9 mm broad. Bracts lanceolate, not exceeding pedicel and ovary. Sepals triangular-ovate, 2.5 x 1.5-2 mm; petals narrow, linear-lanceolate, 2.2 mm long, 1 mm broad at base. Labellum fleshy, broadly ovate, excavated, with thickened, ± denticulate margins, shortly angled and either side at base, apex produced into a short point, 2 mm long, 2 mm broad, when spread out. Ovary with twisted pedicel.

Type: “Habitat in Napalia, Wallich.”.
Distribution: Himalaya, from Kashmir to Sikkim, Bhutan and China (Yunnan), from 1800 to 3600 m. Expected in the mountainous area of northern and N. Western Pakistan.
