Plants glabrous, rarely puberulous, except the flowers. Stem not much branched, ± procumbent. Leaves broad-lanceolate or spathulate, 10-25 x 1.5-3 mm, membranous, midrib not distinct. Inflorescence of terminal and axillary cymes, less congested than subsp. grandiflora. Flowers pink, ± sessile or subsessile. Corolla 2.5-4 mm long, hirsute. Mericarps hirsute.

Distribution: Afghanistan and Pakistan.
